Vector art is ideal for both printing and web applications since the art will print very clean when resized. The image quality will not degrade. The same vector logo used on a small sheet of paper, can be enlarged to billboard size and keep the same crisp quality. Some complex logo designs are combination of rasterized images and vector elements. Some designs that start out hand drawn are then scanned into digital formats.
